Newham’s Carers Festival is a fantastic opportunity for the public to share their ideas and find out about support services!
The event will recognise, support and celebrate the borough’s growing numbers of unpaid carers and will feature:
- Music
- Food
- Health & well being tips
- Inspirational speakers and entertainment.
Information and advice
A broad range of organisations who provide advice and support to carers across Newham on subjects. Such as planning ahead, carers rights, keeping safe at home and mindfulness will be in attendance to help ensure that local unpaid carers get access to the practical and emotional support that they need.
Have your say
Crucially this event will also be a platform for carers to be heard and influence change. A series of interactive workshops will be delivered to co-produce a new carers charter and carers resource pack. You will also be invited to give your feedback on existing services and shape the future design of carers support services in Newham.
