Deaf and Hard of Hearing residents have told us about the challenges they face when accessing health and care services in Newham. From interpreter shortages to inaccessible booking systems, their experiences underline the need for urgent improvements.

We hosted a workshop with Deaf residents in Newham to raise awareness about gut health and bowel cancer. The session highlighted the barriers Deaf people face in accessing vital health information and why accessible communication is key to saving lives.
