Chair and Vice-Chair Vacancies at Newham Patient Forum

Newham’s Clinical Commissioning Group (NCCG) is currently seeking a Chair and Vice-Chair of the Patient Forum.

The aim of the Patient Forum is to ensure that the voice and experience of patients and carers is at the centre of NHS service development and delivery in Newham. The Patient Forum gives Newham residents, patients and carers the chance to share experiences and influence decisions about local healthcare; to find out about changes and innovations in local NHS services and to work with NCCG to develop and improve local NHS services.

Almost 200 people have now expressed an interest in the Patient Forum. Meetings are held 4 times a year on a quarterly basis. Up to 40 people attend per meeting and we hope to increase this number.

Reward and Recognition applies to both roles. Closing date for applications is 30th September 2014, 5pm. Shortlisted candidates who meet the criteria in the person specification will be put forward for election at the 15th December 2014 meeting of the Patient Forum.
