Healthwatch Newham Q4 2024–25 Reports

Our latest Q4 2024–25 reports give a detailed picture of how people in Newham are experiencing local health, care, and community services. From GP appointments to hospital care, our analysis shows the trends shaping patient experiences and helps guide improvements across the borough.

Healthwatch Newham is your independent health and social care champion. Each quarter, we gather and analyse feedback from residents across the borough to understand what’s working well and where services can improve. Our Q4 2024–25 reports provide insights into the experiences of over 800 people, covering GP services, hospital care, dental services, and wider community and social care.

Highlights from Q4 include:

  • Overall satisfaction: 71% of residents reported positive experiences, with good levels of quality, empathy, and involvement.
  • GP services: Feedback from 545 patients shows compassionate care but ongoing concerns around appointment booking and waiting times.
  • Dentists: High satisfaction at 92%, with praise for treatment and communication.
  • Newham University Hospital: While some patients praised care, 67% reported challenges with waiting times, communication, and involvement.
  • Access & support: Satisfaction with accessing services remains lower (40%), highlighting areas for improvement in bookings, telephone systems, and waiting times.
