Although many of us enjoy the warm weather, there are health risks when it's too hot. Heatwaves can cause a number of health problems and can result to death. It is important to make sure the summer heat doesn't affect you or anybody you know.

In partnership, the British Red Cross had created heatwave guidance material and made available in different languages.

You can download the material below or from the website.

Give us feedback!

Please share the resource to your community or local network and if you can, answer the following questions.

  • Is this information helpful to you and your communities?
  • Is there anything else that would be useful, such as information on health conditions, knowing what other services the NHS or council can offer during extreme weather such as heatwaves or floods?
  • Any other comments?

We are also looking to speak with families who have been significantly impacted by the heatwave – please do reach out to us if you have any insights.

Please email any feedback and their usability to info@healthwatchnewham.co.uk.
