We hosted a workshop with Deaf residents in Newham to raise awareness about gut health and bowel cancer. The session highlighted the barriers Deaf people face in accessing vital health information and why accessible communication is key to saving lives.

In 2024/2025, Healthwatch Newham has worked tirelessly to ensure that local people’s experiences shape the future of health and social care. By listening, observing, and advocating, the team has helped services respond more effectively to the needs of Newham’s diverse communities.

This annual report is based on the experience of 2,425 people.
Findings show that the overall sentiment is 70% positive.
